Autumn Fair
The Autumn Fair takes place every year during the month of January-February. This fair exhibits a wide range of traditional foods and goods from Bahrain and the neighbouring countries in the region featuring goods such as leather goods, make-up, jewellery, clothing, accessories, shoes, chocolates, furniture, handicrafts, toys, etc. The expo also features entertainment programmes and a daily raffle draw for the visitors.
 
   

Bahrain Cultural Family & Food Fair 2003
The first "Bahrain Cultural Family & Food Fair" was held at the Bahrain Exhibition Centre from 21st June to 4th July 2003. The fair reflected the cultural aspects of the society in the Kingdom of Bahrain in a joyful and entertaining manner, in which a blend of cultural shopping, family fun and food represented the core theme of the whole event. The exhibition was structured into 5 distinct sections with local, regional and international exhibitors:

  • Body Shop & Health Care (including Beauty Products, Hair Care and Medical)
  • Family & Home Services Centre (Real Estate, Banking, Insurance, Clubs, Time Share)
  • Fun Fair (Handicrafts, Sports Goods, Leisure, Recreation, Holidays)
  • Nature's Paradise (Gardening Mini Zoo Aquarium)
  • Planet Food (Food Ingredients, Ready Food, Cooking Demonstrations)

In addition there was daily highlights such as:

  • Children's Contests
  • Show Cooking, Cooking Classes and Competitions
  • Handicraft Demonstrations
  • Music and Stars
  • Pet Competitions
  • Super Raffles
  • Theme Nights (cooperation with hotels)
 
   

Heritage Festival
The Bahrain National Museum hosts an annual Heritage Festival, which attracts locals, resident expatriates, tourists, particularly from the GCC states. It was estimated that over 60,000 people attended the 11th Heritage Festival in May 2003. Among the many attractions at the festival there were traditional bands, traditional games for boys and girls, a customary coffee house with a large variety of traditional foods for sale, in addition to traditional Bahraini clothing and handicrafts. Furthermore, there was a photography exhibition featuring old pictures of children playing traditional games and an art exhibition promoting well-known Bahraini artists.
